Planning Tips for Universal Studio tour

If you want to see and experience everything in Universal Studios in one day, you need to plan well! Here are my suggestions-

If there is flexibility of dates, plan your visit on a working day to beat the crowd. Arrive at the Universal Studios gate by 10 am when it opens.

Do the most popular rides early in the day to avoid the long queues. Jurassic Park adventure, Revenge of the Mummy, Transformers, Treasure hunters, Canopy flier and Battlestar Galactica should be all competed right at the beginning.

Check the show schedules of Water world, Talk with Donkey, Madagascar and Monster rock and plan it accordingly. Kids would never forgive you if they miss these.

Remember to buy a Poncho at the entrance to prepare you for the rain and water rides.

As it is hot most of the year, sunscreen and comfortable shoes & clothes are a must. Carry an extra pair of clothes as many rides will get you wet. Drink plenty of water to avoid getting dehydrated. Carry water bottles as plenty of refill points are there in the park. You can save $2 per bottle as well! Avoid having lunch between 12-2, as that’s when everyone will be there! An early or late lunch is preferable.

Universal Studios is one of my 2 favorite places to see in Singapore, the other being Jurong Bird Park.

The themes at Universal Studios

Madagascar is a riot of fun. The most fun out here is the boat ride which takes you to meet Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria. For the smaller kids there is a carousel with King Julien and his gang of lemurs!

Lost World is for all the fans of Jurassic Park. Canopy Flier is a ride over the top of the prehistoric Jurassic Park. Dino-Soarin allows kids to pilot their own Pteranodon into the sky. Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure is a river raft ride through this wild world.

Hollywood gives a glimpse of the real tinsel town. Walk of Fame at Hollywood boulevard introduces you to a pantheon of stars. Monster rock offers rock-n-roll entertainment.

Ancient Egypt is best explored through the terrifying rollercoaster ride called Revenge of the Mummy. You will encounter many horrible creatures in darkness! Adventure seekers need no longer wonder where to go in Singapore.

Treasure Hunters offers a more pleasant experience, as you ride a jeep like an archaeologist across the excavation areas of Egypt.

There are photo ops available with lookalikes of the Cast of the Mummy series.

New York takes you to the sidewalks and familiar landmarks of the great city. I loved the Steven Spielberg hosted Hurricane show which blows your mind literally. It is a must visit among places to visit in Singapore.

Far Far Away takes you to the world of Shrek. The talking Donkey show is hilarious. It is live and the Donkey engages you with a conversation! Kids will love this more than anything else among places to see in Singapore. Shrek 4D is another thrilling adventure at Far Far Away.

Sci fi City takes you to the future to witness the ultimate battle between good and evil. In Transformers the ride, you can join Optimus Prime and the Autobots to battle the evil forces.

Among places to visit in Singapore the other visit is Jurong Bird Park of Singapore. Visit here for a travelogue on it.
