Ground Hog Craze

Every year, Feb 2 is celebrated as Ground hog day in the north-eastern part of US called New England. This is a tradition started in the 1800s and a ground hog comes out of it’s hole and predicts the length of the winter. If it sees its shadow, then it thinks it is still winter and goes back to its hole. So winter is supposed to last for 6 more weeks. If it is cloudy the ground hog thinks it is almost spring and remains on ground. That is supposed to predict an early spring.
